Dear All:
It’s half way through of this Medical Mission. Everything warms up today. We had warmer weather and the villagers turned up much more than yesterday totaling 249: 128–general,37–pediatric,47–dental,37–acupuncture.
It took longer time for dentistry and acupuncture. Thank God we had a sister from China who specialized in acupuncture and also use the heat treatment from burning herb medicine. The ladies appreciated her very much and some of our team members who treated by her said that it’s better than just acupuncture alone.
We took those team members who joined the first time to the man-made lake at the end of the dirt road of the villages. We’re welcomed by a group of water buffaloes. The scene is beautiful but the story is very sad.During the Red-khmer time, they drove 200000 people to dig out this lake and eventually killed them all here. Thank God for leading us to serve and share God’s love with the people that were hurt so much. We firmly believe that only God and His love can heal their wounds.
We missed some of the old villagers not knowing what happened to them but Dr. David Lee told of a touching story of a lady who came last year with 6 month’s pregnancy but very high blood pressure which should be hospitalized right away then. Dr. Lee managed to buy her 6 month’s supply of medicine. Thank God she came yesterday alive and well . She is now a member of the Viheathom Methodist church. This tells how we feel about the people here. They are not forgotten. God loves them and so do we.
Thanks for working with us in this spiritual battle.
In Christ, Jonathan Chiu

Dear All:
We had the most pleasant weather in Kampong Cham this time. It’s not too hot and with breeze. The Viheathom Mothodist church is about 30 minutes away from town by car. So nice to be back like coming home.
Due to wrong information from the village leaders, we did not have many patients today. They told the villagers that we’ll come on 1/8-10.But that suits us well for the first day here. We expect to see more tomorrow. Even with this we still had 182 came for treatment.39–dental,87–general,17–acupuncture,39–pediatric. We are going to serve the villagers till Sunday afternoon. If we still do not have good number of people come tomorrow then we may switch to the nearby Elementary school for 1or 2 days then come back on Saturday and Sunday. Please pray with us.
Thank God that most of the team members are fine except one had a cold before coming and Mrs. Sally Huang is weak .Thank God that she still come despite of her physical limitation.
We tried something new this time. We invite the local helpers/translators and dentist assistants (15) to join our devotion and sharing time so that they can see that they are an important part of the team. Some of them are not Christian yet and we want to care for them ,not just using them . Pray that God will touch their hearts.

Dear All:
Thank God for a full but fruitful day. The early morning devotion time and the evening time have great and touching sharings from 4 team members.
We see God’s hand in leading them to join this service even with trials and difficulties. Some went through a lot of hardship to experience God’s grace and provision for her family and some with family member in depression and flooding of her house to the extent of giving up this trip. We see clearly that it’s not because we are OK that we serve but even in the midst of difficulty and trials we determine to serve. Thank God that His grace is sufficient and His power is revealed in our weakness.
We continued our service at the plywood factory from 9:00am till 4:15pm with an hour’s break for lunch and sharing the Gospel with the workers.
Our team sang a song in Cambodian,Chinese and English. The pastor from Viheathom church–Naren shared an evangelistic message in Cambodian and gave the invitation. Among the 400+ workers, almost all raised their hands to accept Christ. Praise the Lord and pray for the follow up.
Elder Samuel Cheung trained some of our team members to do the acupuncture. Dr. David Lee is one that being trained and he switched between doing acupuncture and treating the patients.Amazing!
Thank God for the 306 being treated.
197–General ,63–Dentistry,46–
acupuncture.
We will go to Viheathom tomorrow starting the clinic in the church. Covet your prayers.

Dear All:
With joy and excitement the 2012 Cambodia Medical Mission team gather together tonight in PNH. It’s so great to see the old members and welcome the new members. Every one actually paid a great price of their time and money as they paid for their own airfare and also the fees for the team.
We joined hands together and pray. With the heart to serve and touching the people for Christ, also to serve them as serving Jesus Christ.
We are going to Kampong Cham ,a town about 100 km to the North-East of PNH. We will start the free medical service at a plywood factory which owned by a Christian from Taiwan of 800 workers for two days then go to the Methodist church of Viheathom till Sunday afternoon. This is our 6th time going there. Last year some villager came from other village which is somewhat farther away. When asked why, the answer was “the Jesus doctors are better”. Pray that not only many will be treated and healed, more importantly that His church will be strengthened and His name glorified!
I’ll try my best to keep you informed when in Kampong Cham . Thank you for joining our service together with your faithful prayers.
